Something Strange - Possibly Important

OK theres someone on P69 on a GM who shouldnt be,
He can get on Characters without the pass by not actually logging on the account, maybe he does need the ID. Aint too sure.
Very weird though.

Any ideas?

To be honest only few people can do this and some are admins of lomcn - also thedeath and possibly auron and deathwish(maybe) edit: Also Damian because he made a bot..

and I. but its not me.

Too block it simply make a random id that know one knows.. don't make it your gm chars name. simple fix.

Nevertheless, the alert has been on LOMCN for some time now. If someone is accessing GM characters its your own fault for not taking precautions. Unless of course, you mean he is 'turning' characters into GM's?

Well, yes there is a way to block it(not easy though), and takes some skill. I know how it works basically, so you can add me to MSN if you need more explanations.

lol i wonder how many of the ppl here really know how to block it, using it is easy all you need is a packet editor and you're done

blocking it is possible
but i wonder how many ppl can write their own gates that verify the login/pass/cert system
easyest thing to stop it is simply tell everyone to stop being stupid and start using random nicknames (and ipban the ppl who do try to get into your char, remember all ips are logged )

ad who eva made the 1.4 files must b stupid as i have found out there is a way 2 make ne char u want on ne server 2 b gm and make / b wot lvl u like no 1 else no`s so ima keep it that way and lets hope no 1 else has the brain2 work it out cos if they do then its unstopable lol and wil prob wipe out mir

Read... he was sayng that he could edit the mir programs so that the exploit wouldnt work, so i asked why not do it.
