In regards to my effect, I'll let you guys into my secret (abstract lighting)... Basically I took one of my own game renders (from Counter-Strike: Sourse) cut parts out, and motion blured them over the top, using blending options, this preserved the original image quality, and added the effect over the top. I then used lighting effects to bring out the focal point. Finally I adjusted the 'Hue' very slightly, giving it the redish finish.
Good competition, I look forward to seeing more of these in future.

A few judges will be required for later SOTW yes.
If it was a poll people could just logg onto different accounts and then click their design.

I understand what he means though; looking at this from a third person PoV the potential for bias is high. The members will never feel it is a fair assessment if only a single person is casting their view.
Art is a very individual thing, you either like something or don't... which is why you can only make a fair assessment if you ask a body of people, or if you are a professional artist/designer... neither of which you are (please don't take offence, no-one on this board is).
I would have picked the same as you, but it probably would put this member’s mind at ease to know you weren’t the only one who thought Wittin did the best piece.
