how do i find out what sound card i have and how do i go about installing it because i dont have a cd

I bought a new sound card 5.1 surround PCI but it dont work with my computer because i only have apg slots on my mother board, all that happens is it crashes my computer, if you like private message me your msn, and you can have it

1) right click my computer
2) properties
3) click hardware tab
4) device manager
5) now all your components/hardware show up there, if the drivers are NOT installed you will most likely get a yellow question mark on it with an explanation mark also.*
6) right click this and go to properties
7) this in theory should tell you what it is IF this doesnt work then you will have to take out your sound card (if its not onboard) and look at the make and model. Once you have written this down go to google and type in the make for eg if it is a creative sound card type "Creative Labs Sound Drivers" this should give you the offical website where you can manually download the drivers for your sound card, failing this you will need to phone up the manufactuer and ask them to send you the drivers, you probably will have to pay for this.
* This depends if you have on board sound!

You meen AGP? and surely you have some form of pci slots?
