Everyone I have seen that is faster seems to be using a AMD processor

they only DDR5 Ram is actually GDDR5 which is specifically graphic memory and is actually based on DDR3 with different timings and cannot be used as RAM

I know... Its why I was asking/stating Koriban why he put DDR5...?


Now that I think about his post, he must have 32GB of DDR3 and 4GB of DDR5.

Well, I ran chronicles on a crappy laptop to test if I could run it.
specs of Lappy were
win xp sp3
intel dual CPU 2.4Ghz
4GB ram DDR3
Onboard intel chipset family uses main ram as VRam but its own ram was 32mb

Weird part is chronicles ran smooth and np, even outran some people and none seemed to be skipping.

Main pc also running quite well.
windows 7 64 bit home
i7 3730k
16 Gb DDR 3
Gforce Gtx 690

Running on windows xp is your main downfall this server seems to lag a lot if you on xp and have a grp onscreen yet windows 7 and above no lag at all

This is correct, I had not placed the G. There is no "DDR5" Ram, it's GDDR5. Thanks for pointing out.

Judging from this so far, specs seem to determine how laggy you are in-game or not, but not in-game speed.

To be fair this speed cap seems to be pretty bullshit if you ask me, John barny's Pc is a ****ing beast and has one of the best internets money can buy, yet some people skip on his screen. There is not one chance of him not being at the cap, nobody should be skipping on his screen. Also Healme my friend mart has beast pc and nice internet should be on cap still see's people skipping.

So either they're is a third party prog being used by lots of players or some sort of bug like ACPI was on euro which ive been saying to mates of mine in skype for a while know i think its this.

Either way somethings really wrong, i'm lucky im on a okayish laptop good specs but i'm onboard graphics card which is kinda of sucky.

even with this laptop being quite **** only person skips on my screen stupidly is badboy he ****ing disappears on my screen and **** ( Btw i'm not accusing his of cheating or owt just saying )

Why does it always have to be a cheat or a bug with some people lol?

Tashohnie has a PC worth half of what my house is and I am still faster than him on a £600 system I built a few years ago.

Like someone else I think it may be a case of AMD processors running this game better than their intel counterparts.

I'm only saying bug because these people with super pc's and amazing internet should be at the speed cap yet they are not. so they're something fish going on.

So basically this is gunna be 2.3 all over again people who can ACPI are going to beast pvp. Is there any way of sorting this at all ? Would be wicked to see a server thats fair everybody at same speed ( Unless your pc is so wack it just cant handle it )

I just assumed as the game was so shitty graphics it wouldn't matter about the hardware on some players specs because they could run mir 500X over but true say ACPI was truely bugged to **** for 2.3 lol.

I haven't tweaked my PC in the slightest for this game as of yet as I'm not doing alot of pvp due to still being low level and I am still running rings around some people. I've been chatting to Tash a bit trying to work on getting him a little faster and we can't work it out yet. The only difference in our PCs (other than his being a lot faster than mine) is the fact that I am AMD and he is intel.

My pc i've bare boned it through msconfig the processes in run, i've literally on running the things that i need to make my pc run lol i dont even run a explroer bar lol! still dont seem that fast?
