are you ok in the head? Most people play servers overseas.. umm mirusa for a start.. I don't believe you know crap all, or you would have simply posted.. gn..

I played mir3 usa and the fist thing I noticed someone say was why tempest takes a while to load... Having a ping of anything over 100 will give this effect.. That delay is the delay you have all the time because it is there every time you cast it , and it is more noticeable than the other skills .
Also, I chuckled a little at scam. What possible motivation do I have to do that... I quit this server at level 30 and I own a very successful business and make a nice living .The difference I noticed was on par with ACPI. Not here to share this, only here to say that yes there is a way to be much faster and have the effect ACPI produced.

I see no mention of monitor refresh rates?? Majority of laptops are maxed & defaulted at lowly 60 mHz. In past Mir's, I found myself faster using my old CRT monitor then a flat screen as it went to 120 mHz. My mate and I both have Windows 8 and just seem to have 'starter lagg' . Like running thru pudding for moment after first login then it's ok.
That said, is it not possible to be lagging due to other player's bad pings/virused OS/overload of background apps? I mean our characters interact with others on screen more then just visibly & skill casts. The party option continually updating nearby players. Friend list continually updating who's on/off
So so many variables. OS , CPU , memory , connection , location, ISP, firewalls, bad drivers, malware, auto updaters running. Anyways I lag some and just deal with it. Expected it as I'm on a laptop with 2 other computers, on a budget priced router IntelB830 3GB DDR3 Gigabit Ethernet 20 MB Cable

well isn't that wonderful.. fyi I'm at the peak, I couldn't give a toss, in fact I shouldn't even be on this thread.. I equally earn more than enough to not really worry about this game.. I worry so the server continues.. personally I think you are a bit of a narcissist and love the attention, you have jack all, and everyone else should realise this.. The key will be found, without assholes jumping the bandwagon purely for their own self-gratification.. after those big words I think I should go and sleep!

Samuel have you got process monitor blocked? as when i try to run it to try and see what is possibly loading slower in the mir process its crashing the mir2.exe and stopping it from working until reboot. Pretty silly to block a diagnostic tool.
Also its pretty silly to even claim its down to pc specs or ping as proven people with tesco's pc's with integrated graphics are at the cap yet people like tash who have not far off a NASA pc are slower than majority of players even with a ping of 12-19...

it's like i said, it's going to be one option somewhere in system, the people who are super quick have no idea why, it's prob some option that's either on or off, and comes as standard on some pcs or some that have done a particular update.
I see 3 possible options, for lag reasons.
1. Hardware issues / the way you have set up pc up in the pasted for other mirs.
2. connection / ping issues
3. People have sutch big egos they don't want to admit someone is just better then them, so they find something else to blame it on, rather then just admitting they got beaten.
People are just gonna have to workout witch one is effecting them.
Me thinks 50% of the people suffer from option 3 :P
ps. FROZEN u know nothing stop lieing and making people think ur smart.

Nobody is talking about losing a fight. We are on about running speed. If someone with 5mb internet and 100+ ping and a PC World computer can out run a legit gaming rig with 120mb FO connection and 20 or under ping in a straight line, there's problems with the coding. There is no debate here any longer. There is something wrong with the coding. I'm not saying it's bad coding or anything but there has to be something that is agreeing with certain setups and not others. We have literally tested every configuration we can from single core basic laptops to 8 core monsters with thousands of Pounds worth of hardware and there is sometimes huge differences in straight line speed with the lower spec machines out performing the gaming rigs. Something just doesn't add up.
Sigh, let me see if I can make a comparison video. Also I never claimed to know anything about this technical stuff.. I merely experimented with the different tweaks / parts and came across a setup that gave me the ACPI effect.. It was luck and a little research that's all. Ill share this later.
Thing is none of this works on windows xp... So what I want to try is how well this setup works with mir on versions that support ACPI..
Again, another post claiming you know how to "tweak" mir but with no proof or details, just aload of dribble
You can post your specs all you want. I doubt any pc from the past 5 years would even break a sweat running Mir. My iPhone is more powerful than the PC I played Mir on.

yeh cause your computers a bag of **** and you don't want anyone realisin your a cheatin ****. - Also, I survive on 324 ping constantly and find I outrun people with 1-50 ping. it isn't ping, althought it does help, I fear that if I had English ping I would be lightning.

I tried pinging the address thats in the .ini files and it returned back that i couldnt actually ping that address all kept failing, no idea what my ping is to server tbh, im also using a 50" plasma tv with refresh rate of 75 set up to that one hd channel and still not much difference. How do you check your fps also on server??
