Specs/speed - FAO admins

I tried pinging the address thats in the .ini files and it returned back that i couldnt actually ping that address all kept failing, no idea what my ping is to server tbh, im also using a 50" plasma tv with refresh rate of 75 set up to that one hd channel and still not much difference. How do you check your fps also on server??

you probably can't ping the server directly as this stops DDOS attacks which is what happened with the last host..

using fraps at the min, if I put my graphics card on full specks (GPU Clock settings 950 MHz and also clock speed of 1450mhz) it stays around 45 FPS. if I drop my card to the lowest setting (GPU Clock 500 MHz and Clock Speed 1375mhz, I g 50 FPS). to me it would appear that the cap on this would be causing a loss in power and dropping certain aspects of the graphics. can we get the cap taken off to see how this will affect the overall game experience??

There looks like there is an issue with the modern g cards and directx and the client, this would go some way to explaining how doorstop computers bought for a couple of hundred quid are beating 3k+ behemoths..

I have just done some testing with some hardware I have lying around, it appears that my 1gb ddr3 500mhz graphics card was quicker with this version of mir when there wasn't much happening on the screen, how ever when the screen got busy I lagged. using my HD6950 card I noticed I didn't even lag whilst the screen was "busy". to me it would appear more than its my Internet Connection due to it being crap and slower than most peoples (10 meg download 1 meg upload). it would appear my connection isn't bringing the signal in as quick as others. my other graphics card couldn't handle the mass ammounts going on on screen where as my high end one can. I think this is mainly down to internet connection as well as pc you have to hand.

unfortunately this is the case with all online games.

we need people to post there net speed and if they feel they move quicker or slower than the majority on this game, as I can get fibre optic in y area so I will never know until I move.

he's already answered he doesn't have a clue.. if he's only just worked out that having more **** on screen makes the frame rate go down, I think you'll be a long time getting answers.. if he thinks it's down to a connection that has 10 meg down and 1 meg up, I can conclude he has no idea at all..

I live in Florida,usa and every now and then I see someone "rubber band" past me, or they gain up on me in the caves etc. but usually my speed doesn't seem to be too far off with everyone else. I just downloaded WTFast as someone suggested and pinged a France server, getting 152ms.

I play on a laptop with an i3-4000m cpu & intel hd 4600 gpu with windows 8 on a fibre connection.. Game runs fine, don't seem to lag at all.. Not the best hardware but its pretty modern..

They are pretty much sub par older pc's just at the frame cap.

There's only 3 people who are most likely using a move speed hack or something along them lines that probs bypasses the "anti clock, speed cheat engine" I won't drop names but let's just say 2 are warriors and recently 1 a Sin who plays from the US which is amusing. All bout ping right????

Lol, i'm going to hazard a guess, you are the one and only power axe brigade "Thedevilside"? Could it be that you're just looking for excuses like the rest of the Roms who just cry cheats 24/7???

Sad really that you guys never drop for how much you die, would have no kit by now.

Im not crying mate would just like to know how they are so fast and try to and if there is anything I can do to catch up speed wise for a level playing field and all that

You'd be suprised how much difference there is between a "good" player with a low speed and a "bad" player with a high speed (this is implying a good slow person can beat a bad fast person). If you can't see the difference between a good and a bad player you obviously haven't been looking. I will admit though that when it comes to two "good" players the outcome of a fight is usually speed related unless it's a guild fight in which it is usually communication related.
