SQL enterprise wont connect.

just wont connect to my place so i can get thru to the databases i tried to run sql server but it still wouldnt work i get this message...




i looked it up but nothing came up.

are you connecting to sql from another machine ?, has it been working fine and only just started ?
have you uninstalled sql and re-installed it ?
is sql running in authentication mode ?
have you installed all of the sql compontents, ie server and client ?

it was working fine but i messed up first time so i uninstalled, restarted my pc re-installed it exactly saem wasy as last time and then that error came up

uninstall it, reboot and then try again, make sure you install all the components, both the sql server and the client

and then reboot and try again mate, let me know how you get on

Just a thought but some ppl may come across this again in the furture, most ppl are using the trialedition of MSSQL, if one day it decides not to connect like in the 1st post, it maybe because the trial ran out. Simple fix is go treat yourself to a full version either by buying it or good old trust worthy torrents.

Hope this is of some help to someone as this stumped me at first when it happened to me >.< lol
