Ok taken from this guide (http://www.lomcn.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=54617)

I have been setting up my server, and seems to be going okish up until now, I got to the bit where he says ...

"Now go to Enterprise Manager>Local>Databases
Here you will find that there are already a few default databases. Right click and create a new database called "mir2"

Then right click on this new database and go to All Tasks>Restore Database
Here select the option of "From Device" and then select the location of the database which in this case is /DBServer/lom2restorethis In this case the DB provided is already in the *.bak format and hence need not be force restored. If it aint, then go to the second tab and tick the option - force restore and then click OK.

Congratulations! You have successfully restored your databases."

and am getting this error message everytime I try to force restore. Can anyone help?

Thanks Neon

I have had a look at this link http://www.lomcn.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=55353 and not sure how to do this ... "restore the one called mir2sql2000backup worked like a treat for me over one corupted think not sure but wont restore for me never"

ps..

Can I use Delphi with this? I have downloaded the server files from that guide, so in the future I may want to code my own spells ect. Also, can I use DBC07 and Msacess rather than SQL ?

the mir2restorethis is for sql2005 and above, the mir2sql2000backup is for sql2000 and above, you cannot restore the 2005 backup to sql2000 :(
