starlite problem getting in game

i have set up server for a wile now, just download the starlite server files everything looks ok but when i get to the notice screen it's just black, i'v searched and am now stuck. All ip's are correct. The gamegate shows no errors at all but after i have tried to get in game once i then look at the gamegate and it shows a line with loads of letters aghjlkllgkaosaoii> for example. I cannot post a screenshot as i am at work at the moment. I woz thinking could this possibly be a client problem as i don't have the starlite client yet. Be great if i could get a solution to this.

ummm im not very good at stuff like this but maybe is corrupt data ?

possibly the client or the server files? i downloaded the server files from 2 dif places, both were ready to go with no editing required, though i still checked them incase, but all server names and ip's are correct, upnp is disabled, db is set up correctly, trying to run it offline. Gets in game fine, creates account fine but the gamegate brings up some errors. Most of the time i can figure things like this out, but this one has got me pulling my hair out lol.

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Also should there be a line in the gamegate after the started ok! line? The guy in this post has a line in his gamegate which i have about loginsrv http://www.lomcn.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=50758

tried 2 different sets of starlite server files and no luck. The foundation ones i used before work fine but these files are a lot better as i can't seem to get q-function working in foundation files. I have all ip's correct, server name, all gates are working as far as i know, unpnp disabled, i am now completely stuck and getting desperate for help please. thank you
