http://www.lomcn.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=28882&page=3&highlight=starttimer

tasha seemed to have the same problem as me, however tash fixed it but didnt say how =/

apparently its not saving my PW's - when i go into the ODBC settings section, go to systemDSN tab click on one of the mir 3 "data sources" and click config... on where it says which SQL server do u wanna connect to it says STEVEN-COMPUTER (which is what is chosen in SQL service manager next to my clock)

click next and it says SA, but no password is in there, it aint saving them - how do i get it to do this plz/

thats the setup guide for the ODBC part on 3G the passwords save when you finish the process, yo may also want to test the data scource before you click finish.

what i did notice is that when you go back through to make sure you did everything right that your set password has "dissappeared" just re-enter it :)

no the ?? is not a problem.

it is saving your pass, it whipes the entry field every time thats all.

are you using the server loader? seems like your running the exe straight off (if your using kingnf)

Middlesbrough ! Smoggy!
The problem i had was when i was installing SQL it wouldnt let me choose [Default Setup] {tick} , so i had to un-install SQL and retry , my server wouldnt start-up if i wasnt using Local SQL server.

do u wanna connect to it says STEVEN-COMPUTER

Try using Local to connect to if this doesnt work then you have to un-install SQL and try and run your server from LOCAL.

Ahhh Good old MS-SQL :)
If you cannot choose DEFAULT then it has been installed already at some stage. I found this when I had installed the CLient side only tools on one computer and later when I tired to install the Full Database side as well, the Default was Grey'd out. De-Install Everything you have to do with MS-SQL and start again.

You mentioned everything is ?? - now this means quite simply you do not have the chinese pack installed properly, once you set UniCode programs to Chinese (PRC) then it will show everything - even in SQL as the chinese names.
