Statement About Dynamic Shards

As some of you may have noticed the Dynamic Shard Change has come into affect, making it so you can only have 1 shard per item. If any of your items contain more than one shard, then contact a game master to remove 1 of them. The shard will be returned to you.

Disclaimer: Do not attempt to remove the shard yourself as we will and i state we will not replace the shard!

This has taken far longer than it should have. All good and well making all these balance changes when a small % have been running around with +++ stats that should never have even been in game. Not to mention most people who have multiple shards on an item knew full well that there was only supposed to be 1 per item yet you are letting people message you to get a shard back, basically when it suits them.

lil off topic - but what about those who had dynamic shard recipes learnt...they have been removed from my char, and read on your other post that they would be replaced today but haven't as of yet

Rather than wait for ppl to msg you...simply stand in BW for an evening and global shout requesting all persons msg you to remove there multiple dynamics. I looked at ppls kits last night and there are multiple ppl with double dynamic shards on a single item. Then click everyone’s kits and follow up with another global shout stating ppls names who are exploiting still.

Things will happen quickly from there.

Why didn't you just create a method on server launch that searches all user items with more than one dynamic shard, removes the shard and mails it to them? :S

You could manage that in literally 4-5 lines.

That's what I do when making significant changes, I return effected items from TM.

Domminno is still running around with 3 dynamic shards in several of his accessories. I thought this was a server scrape. FFS how difficult is it to code, even a batch file to search and pull them out. Hold the shards in a safety zone, and the owners can query it and get them back?
