I believe this is the right decision.
Babyhack, I'm wasn't initially your biggest fan (I don't like the way you lock threads so frequently) but the work you've done on the drop files has clearly been a game changer in a good way, don't feel guilt or stress over this event. Anyone could have overlooked this and this is the correct decision to remedy things. I don't think anyone of a reasonable disposition is going to hold a serious grudge against you for this. I think overall the player base has to thank you overall for the time you've put in to improving the drop files and I'm sure much more good is to come.
P.S. I can't play for next 2 days so I wont get double exp but I'm not moaning about that. I'd rather people be at most a day or two ahead of me on leveling than the equivalent of 50-200 hours chesnut hunting which would unbalance the game to no end. Noone is going to get from L1->45 over the weekend, think people are overreacting a bit, could have been a lot worse.

++++++ very well handled .... to everybody who's now complaining .... would you rather a little rewind or there be 5/6 players wads richer then everyone else..? As 300m being obtained in such a short time would've well n truly knackered the games economy, also i'm willing to bet not that many people will have lost out but infact will stand to gain via the increased exp (i know i fall in that category as wasnt online at time of bug lol). Obviously the server team arnt going to be able to please 100% of the community 100% of the time but i think they have done as well as possible considering so lets cut them some slack

I've never understood that in the event of something like this, particularly with a relatively small playerbase versus commercial, that a snapshot of the db isn't done at the point of stopping the server and one taken at the rewind point you're about to go back to.
Compare the two, you can settle for levels, major items, even gold levels.
Spawn an npc somewhere and have them dish out the majority of the differences. I'm sure there's enough talent in and around lomcn to come up with such an npc for just these situations.

Well I wasn't effected as I have been away all weekend, but good choice on this one BH,
To the people saying its 'unacceptable' get over it, do something more productive then hammer MIR all weekend long, it's a private server, they didn't need to make a server for people to play, they choose too.
Any work that goes into the game should be appreciated as they are doing it off their own backs.
On another note, I would've suggested giving people who were effected by the rewind (anyone who logged in 15th may or after)
Get EXP Pot(s) or something (as I shouldn't receive a exp boost) as I wasn't even on this weekend!
Plus it then gives people the use of the exp buff when convenient for them, not forcing them to lose out and not be able to use the compensation

They where in illuminati for a short period and most of the guild thought they where dicks. From here they moved to TKO and got booted after their dickness odour was to difficult to conceal.

Yes I was annoyed at the rewind, but it was for the greater good. Double exp till Monday 5pm is overkill but good job BH and team in fixing the issue quickly.
