I see a few of comments taos wins.. I'm guessing this is late game as a lvl 30 tao anytime I have been attacked its been impossible to drop anything bar a wizz without shield. My sfb is strong dmg but no deva, curse or PC and skeley slow as hell means pretty impossible for me to flinch to start to slow you down. Until I get a safe way to slow you down my only hopes is your awful kitted and I can out heal your dmg.
I do find red psn and sfb strong but even titans, soul neck, and soul spring braces, added wep and L stone I do 3s and 4s on a wizz with shield or 20s to 30s on higher lvl war with a bit of amc
Not moaning or anything as I feel we got some quality of life buffs but for a pvp conversation I think it's alot of work we have to put in before we get to a stage we're we can drop people in pvp
Its all perspective really. From a wizard viewpoint, you cant drop anyone unless they are 10 levels below you until 38, then, thats when you used to to hurt.
GMs have nerfed FD the spell into the ground and wizards are back at the stage where someone needs to be significantly lower than you in order for you to be effective against them. The top range of the spell is still decent but the lower damage is far to inconsistent to keep any pressure on your opponent.
After their latest changes, i went toe to toe with a 40 tao and 40 archer (separately), them stepping in fw and FD's. Other than an occasional good hit of 140 / 150 on FD, the rest of my hits were from 0 / blocked - 60/70. They out DPSd me on both occasions and caused me to have to use many sunpots just to stay alive. The tao even had the time to laugh at my hits in chat cos they were so poor / didn't hurt. (with 50 MC unbuffed).
The archer had a spell that took me down to 20% HP through shield (from full) and combined with their walking bomb spell managed to kill me in the end with the random burst damage through shield (im a 42 wiz).
Not to mention, the range on SFB and Archer spells seems to be much further than FD. No one has mentioned that but in my experience, both opponents could hit me while they were just underneath my chat bar, yet i had to come much closer to attack. Another obvious imbalance that has not been addressed during their recent round of nerfs.
The GMs seem to arbitrarily buff / nerf single classes, there doesn't appear to be a wider view or approach to achieving balance across all five classes. Now, they have even stopped answering questions on their intentions so it looks a bit worrying really for the future.
If, between the three of them, they are that fed up with things after only a month, it doesn't inspire confidence that this server will still be around in a years time.
Jamie isn't my favorite person on this forum but i will say this, when people come to him with arguments for nerfs or buffs, he doesn't seem to do it randomly based on what they say / complain about. I've not played Zircon but from what i have seen, he either discusses their issues with them there and then acts on them or rebuffs and disproves them with the actual calculations on which the spells operate on his server.
Maybe the GM's should try this approach rather than using the secret testing server they have with a few select players from the server.
