Suggestion: Cheating thread

Hello Sam,
I turned from Mir2forver sever, and have been playing this server for months, and found some problems with it.
Cheating, mass of players participated speed hacks, double or triple attack speed, running speed modified; and i have seen some players invincibly, even the town-guards not hit them when they with Red name on who just stand near by with guards, that really make me open-eyed:P'. Think about it, they can go kill evil-mir with no pots. Now, they make this game messed, and GM do nothing with these cheaters even someone made reliable video sent to GM; Players just quit from this game, because it is not fair to play.
My suggestion is, Sam, can you just do something with it, make an equal game status, don't let more ppl leave from this game. If you do hard but still can't to block the cheats, please, plaese, please, just ban the players who with cheating.

This. Cheats will be around forever in Mir, especially the popular ones.

Fact is, they do stop people from speed cheating and they are a lot more effective at it that any other server.

This 'invincibility' cheat you mentioned can only be a myth.

Like Jest0r said they do ban people all the time for cheating. Also, you do realise that aside from perhaps the C# Mir this is probably the most cheat-proof server there has ever been? Speed hacking is pretty detectable, Sam completely blocked running overweight and I'm sure that invincibility thing doesn't exist. Who are these people going killing EvilMir without pots? Who sent this "reliable" video to GMs? Why wouldn't they post it on here?

Bro , this server still ain't properly cheat proof and it won't be cause there is no professional anti cheat team. All it takes is some free time to bypass the check and then rename your programm to a windows file so that your process list isn't shady.

Dont think theres anyone cheating personally. Nothing blatently obvious or gamebreaking anyway. And invincibility cheats dont exist lol. Bare i mind the OP is Chinese..... Miles away from the server. Obviously they are going to be very slow, although some of them are faster than people based in France..x

The problem is a lot of these videos of cheats are recorded by people who are slow and aren't at cap. As I said until I was at cap most people looked like they were cheating, however since I'm at cap I've only seen 1 or 2 people who look fast outside of the people I know who 100% cheat... but those that cheat don't abuse it too hard and keep their own methods to their own little group so they don't get caught.

There was defo stat hacks on mir reunited they got banned and quit. They did the same on mir 2 forever, trust me the 2 that used to do to it only kept it to themselves which was a good thing.

from what i remember they just had a laugh until they got banned they also tried not to influence the server by not introducing there drops into the server.

Invisible does exists well it did on mir reunited im sure the same back door is there its a delpi server after all

They could be invisable think there were limits to what they could do. But with the stat hack im guessing max ac or amc not much would hurt

It wasn't a hack it was a command that was broken there was another one to spawn mobs on the heroes files

Stats are server side, afaik.x

Let me clear some things up, invincibility was possible on the 2.3 client along with stat hacks, teleport & a couple of other seriously game breaking things, with the 2.6+ updates, stats/invincibility etc. were no longer possible as it changed what was decided client side. I'm not saying they aren't possible on here as I haven't experimented with the limits of this client. Double/Triple cast spells? more than likely, A speed hacks are a guarantee, duping? probably I've yet to meet a mir client that can't be duped on.

The limits of the cheats are set by the client side decisions & the abilities of the coder writing them, they differ from client to client.
