Ok after testing I've found that only the 100/113/114 races work as a tao pet should - going up in HP, resistance & attack power per level.
If you set the third tao pet to 113 or 114 (regardless of the image appr you give it) it will summon as a shinso. If you give Jin (3rd pet) 100 as it's race you can make the appr what you like but the attack is just a physical one.
Now yes you can set the race to anything you like but then it won't level up with the spell level, it will only get stronger if it levels by killing, the same as a mob.
So the question is - does anyone know of any other race numbers that will function in the proper way for a tao pet other than 100/113/114 ???
