You came on, stayed for about 2 minutes, then decided that the server was corrupt? That's an extremely wild claim to make.
Shibbens wasn't levelled for hosting patches, he was levelled for donating 50GB FTP Storage to the server. Bit different than hosting patches don't you think?
I don't know why you we're banned. Also, what the server owner does is generally down to the server owner. Lifco and Myself did have a lengthy debate about the "Shibbens Situation", which resulted in him being delevelled back to level 20. He then pulled the plug on the FTP, and so his account was eventually deleted.
Problem was solved. Still, there were no complaints when a third GM joined us. Good GM but a little bit suspicious... He had 4 non-gm characters at level 35+ and kitted out. No one complained about that, not when he was handing out items to his Guild Members, and spawning mobs to aid in gaining special drops and exp. Even after he was asked politely not to. Did anyone question this?? Not many.
Don't worry. The server has been taken offline now, I hope you're all happy. Lifco has given his server files to someone else, hasn't said who.
Anyhow. It's been a memorable 5 years playing Mir. Shame it all has to end like this. The whole experience ruined by a few selfish people that have little faith in anything but their own ego's.
Good luck to all server owner's and GM's. It is a lot harder work than it seems, and definately not worth the hassle.
