Hey all, I have recently leveled a tao and sin to level 43. Enjoyed both characters so far but have been leaning towards maining the tao as I like the play style a little more (more aoe and sustain + pets). BUT I am realizing one main con to playing the tao that I wanted to get feedback on: Bossing/single target dps. On the trainer mob my tao does a combined dps of around 286 dps (pets + basic attack + PC + HC) compared to my sin that hits around 800 dps. My tao kills at about the same speed when mobbing as the sin as the Tao hits lower but has wider aoe. The problem is the minute he hits a boss, it takes 3x+ longer to kill.
Both chars have about the same gear (87 SC vs 92 DC) with skills at level 3 (PC is still level 0 as it's a pain to level but should be level 1 soon). Tao still doesn't have Pet Enhancer as well but would be surprised if it did much since pet dps is currently about 60. So at best it may double this? So before I invest more time into my tao, I wanted to see if this gap closes at higher levels or are sins just much better bossers?
Thanks!
