It might be my SC being fairly low (14-22, I'm normally full DC), but right now I went from lvl 0 blessed shield doing 0-5 AC to lvl 2 blessed shield doing... 0-5 AC. Only for 12 mana instead of 4. Ok the duration is a little longer, but not to justify 3x the mana cost. Or the 5k+ amulets I just wasted hoping it would get better.

Could level 0-2 be nerfed to make level 3 worth getting?

Poison felt worthwhile leveling from 0 to 3 as it did increase in basically every manner, but right now buffs are essentially worse the higher level they are.

Oh and it also costs 2 amulets, which is kinda BS when it was 1 on euro.

I'm not sure on the reason to level these spells either.

The level on the skill isn't going to make much a difference if you have low SC (or required stat, presuming that is SC lol). It will make a difference eventually though.

To me though, It does seem like it should always make a difference, even if only token. But it's good enough to know it works out.

I thought it would provide a base AC/AMC Buff - then SC adds onto it.

I presume it does have a floor and a ceiling yes. But they are very unlikely to be reached.

Already a thread about this, it's to do with your kit.

I did a search before I posted, the only ones I could find regarding Blessed Armour or Buffs were in the Mir Chronicles subsection. Could you link me to this other thread so I can comment there too?

As for it being dependant on gear, the only difference between my full DC and my full SC sets is around 25 seconds in duration. No change in AC given at all. Plus that doesn't change the fact level seems to make the spell worse.

To put it another way, if we take a spell wizzies are currently discussing, Firewall. If level 2 firewall cost 3x more mana per cast than level 0, but did the same damage (but may get a 10%! increase with very, very high stats) and lasted 25% longer, how much of an uproar would that cause? That is how BA currently works.

I don't care if level 0-2 get a nerf and level 3 is the current stats, at least the game would be consistent and fair. Right now I am being penalised for levelling a spell, and that just feels wrong. I don't care what the stats are, that is for Jamie to decide, I just want it to make logical sense.
