There needs to be something implemented, maybe a hitbox around characters bigger than what they are, i spend more time healing windmino's and bone blademans than i do healing anyone in my grp and spend half a (m)psn on psn'in the same target, im sure a lot of other taos, wizzies would agree.

The target needs working on.

I also spent a great deal of time attempting to heal the dead mobs as they seem to take priority of my targeting over players. God forbid this ever works as I'd be giving myself more to kill!

The slow cast speed makes it difficult enough. Add the fact that I miss my casts 4-5 times in a row cause of dead bodies or basic movement of mobs attacking. Can't heal people half as much as I'd like to

I second that. Absolute nightmare! Always wondered why in massive lure I could take so much damage but its cosnim healing my bloody self haha.

Agreed having real bad issues targeting as a archer. 2 dead mobs 1 spot with 3rd on top = no chance of hitting

i have played on 2 hours more or less and as a wiz i must say targeting is horrible.. if you are hunting in mines you target like everything but what you want..

you end up targeting also ingame ppl even though you are in peacemode! WTF?? i mean if i choose peace mode why the heck my spell should hit anyway the player??

also there are some issues targeting mobs which are standing over dead mobs.. there are some difficulties let's say it this way

Agreed I even find if u haven't highlighted the mob just right it doesn't target it

Worthing is depressing.
I dont think they have actually edited the targeting,i feel its down to the resolution change. We are used to playing mir at lower res on high res screens. Resulting in everything including targeting area to be larger.

Something needs to be done though, i do agree i hated it on Ace & was a reason i couldn't be faffed!

If I got exp for accidentally shooting dead bodies, id be 40 by now :P

Any chance there can be an option to remove dead body targeting? Also the name tags of mobs/players should be targetable so you can shoot when they are behind a pet/player without shooting said pet/player.

How is the target calculated in Mir anyways? Isn't it non-alpha parts of the object are then set to be a collider, i'm not sure.

Best way would be to integrate an easy way for Taoist to target players and an easy way for all players to target mobs (by nearest). I know "Tab" is used for item pickup, but in alot of games "Tab" would be to select the nearest enemy. The other part would be the FKeys, these generally allow you to select players sequentially (f1 = Group Member 1, F2 = Group Member 2 and so on...) However FKeys are in use, so that would not work!... Maybe you can add a Alt+Number function for Player selection (if in group) and Alt+` to select nearest enemies.

Also you could add a check code to poison to NOT poison anything with less than half its duration (so if poison lasts for 30 seconds and it still has 17 seconds left = Can't re-Poison, but at say 14 seconds, you can).

Not sure if this is any help but that's how most games sort out the targeting issues

For buff spells only, and it wouldn't be just taoist would it...Look at games like WoW, they use the FKey system to target group members..

Changing the targeting area for mobs would help but not for players because that would take out the skill of pvp.

We will get used to it. I play tao and at first it was a nightmare. The main problem for me is dead mobs stealing target. As for the spell target standings above or below a mob, I have decided it is their responsibility to be situationally aware enough to position themselves in a place I can heal them. Obviously not always possible. Admittedly I'm waiting for mass heal to solve the problem

Re archer this is normal as magic and melee work on different targeting. This will be great when you are surrounded by bug bats and need to take out multiple mobs.

automatic targeting with buffs seems like more hassle than it's worth to bring in. I can't see any real reason or benefit for it.

It seems like hit-boxes are smaller here than I remember, but I have been playing normal resolution games also which may alter my perception.

Agree here too, thought it was just me.

If a few dead mobs, I have to lure away to be able to target

Completely agree, while some skill is required in targeting etc it's more than that on Chronicles... fighting over-sized mobs etc you spend most of your time healing the mobs or missing your target entirely because it keeps flicking off target.

and in a bed of dead mobs it's impossible, especially in Wooma Temple.

Mass heal does counter this problem effectively, but that's not the point... hit boxes should be bigger.
