Get a tattoo of something that's for life. Have a think about it, it's not something to make a forum poll about. It's there for life.

Sure, you *can* get them removed, my dad had some on his hands (he got others as well) that he had removed & he said it was extremely painful.

Your Mums Bedroom
i have a tribal tattoo down my left arm i have a Westham Logo on my leg. and im planing to get my mum & dads name on my left shoulder pad, and im going to have my kids names (If i dont fire blanks) down my right forearm.

On the neck i dont think tattoo's look good, a pal of mine has his initials, in italic writing and it looks ok just i wouldn't spend my money on it to be scared for life.

(Btw west ham logo was a big mistake wished in never had it) but i never get my legs out soo............

i see a tattoo the other day a guy had going from his arm all the way up his neck to the back of his ear, lookd pretty neet was a tribal look aswell.

Im currently in college doing a Cheffs Diploma,
I also work in an italian restaraunt on starters & desserts atm.
Not bad really considering that im only 16 xD

Lets just hope the next generation of cheffs dont get slated for tattoos!
I never got slated for having tatoos and I'm 12 years older than you, though tatoos on the neck are frowned upon. Especially if you are working in an open kitchen.

I don't really know much about this sort of thing, but shouldn't people wait til they're older and their body has fully grown before they get a tat?

People aren't generally fully grown and 'big' at 16, and your tat might stretch as you get older and look bad.

But what do I know :P

Ive got mates who have tattoos on their necks. Every time they hit the town, there fighting because of it. People come over and ask if their football hooligans, (One mate has England on his neck) and then a rumble occurs moments after.

Its a decision you will have to live for the rest of your life. I dont know what job you want or the career path you've chosen, But things change and do you really want to be frown upon due to some ink on your neck?

your so gay !

Actually, Its becoming more and more popular with males. Stars on their forearm, legs and other places.

Chris brown has 3 on his neck.

So no need for the fag comment.

fag. fag. twice because its too short a msg. and because you're double the fag

Kinda bumping an old thread I know, but thought I'd share my uncles neck piece with you all.

http://www.tattooland.uk.com/dale-tatt07.htm

I personally dislike the piece, though the artist is good. Is also an old pic, he now has a full body of tattoo (Apart from a small patch on the head) which does make the above piece look better I suppose.

Its one of those things I can admire, but wouldn't dream of getting myself.

Exactly that.

Edit's: Just noticed I didn't actually leave my opinion here.

You shouldn't get any tattoo... anywhere.
If you don't know yourself what image/text you want to be stained on your body for the rest of life, don't even think about getting a tattoo. A tattoo isn't just there to look cool, you want it to mean something to you personally.

If I ever asked anybody why they have a tattoo or the story behind their tattoo and they turned round and said ''I got it because I was told it would look good.'' or ''I got it cos someone on the net told me to'', I would automatically assume that they are a twat.
