Tbl_mongen

Hi People

i have my 2.3server up and running and i can log on and run about on my first try

i have imported a couple or xls and txt files for spawning but there is not enough

is there an original mir tbl_mongen with euro spawn rates? i want to start from scratch......but there are no hens and the only file import i have found so far hardly spawns any....

i am looking for them all around the newbie towns and just standard placew......well just like euro mir.....i want to get it just as close as it use to be.....i found one file that looked promising but the txt file would not import as i could not get it to reconise the tabbed spaces so if it is floating about as an excel file i would be very grateful

i think i found these before and was trying to add them into my tbl_mongen but it was not reconising it as there a are things like ???>>>???

i would of thought there is a ; at the beginning it mean omit this data from the import?

i will ask my manager today as she is our SQL Administrator (i only install and restore data)

the other files in that euro mir setup.....are they much different from mstations files?

will these cause to mobs to start in game when i start the server or do i have to wait to for timer to refresh on each row? makes no difference really....going to get it working from an outside connection....then be sneaky and move it onto my new test server at work....

have anyone had problems with sql 2008? as its only a small DB surely there cannot be many problems?

hello again

managed to get the files into SQL

edited it all into excel then deleted the rows which were no good

i am looking at the drop lists now for the mstation folders there does seem to be very many stone drops......especially from what a remember in mir.....stone drops werent as rare as they are looking now

Hello again again

right i have my mir server up and running offline so far...

hit two major problems

1. database on sql 2000 kept timing out for now reason when loading the items database....turned out i needed to service pack SQL to SP4 to get it running....took me a while looking through event logs but finnally saw a message saying a known exploit has caused SQL to close down all network ports

2. was getting timed out error. when loading the server something to do with index's.....i knew it would be to do with me tbl_mongen so i loaded a new table with the info i wanted and designed all the columns to match the tbl_mongen then copied all the rows to the tbl_mongen to be sure it was all a match

and what do you know...we have hens and deers around the n00b towns

going to try the online part now see how easy that will be
