We know you all are eager to finally lay your hands on TERA, that’s why we want to give you an update on the whole testing process for TERA in Europe, the first step of information you all waited for is finally here!

As you should all know by now, TERA recently launched in Korea and already received a first content update, which added two additional dungeons to further improve the endgame experience for players. TERA is a huge success so far in Korea and we now want to take the game to the next step, by delivering the first European test session to you.

Today we want to inform you about the schedule for the first test of TERA in Europe, so you will be able to see, what we have been working on, since our last big test at gamescom and the Paris Games Week. The first thing you might want to know is who will take part in this test session?

We’ll invite our most dedicated fans of TERA, choose some of our active forum members, invite guild members and fansite staff members, as well as the winners from our official contests. So, we want to thank everyone, who participated actively in our forums, helped us out with great ideas and feedback and supported TERA as a guild prior to its launch or gatherd and prepared information for the Community as a fansite member.

This first test will happen in March 2011, so you won’t have to wait that long any more, to finally enter the world of TERA! We’ll then run a couple of further test sessions, with even more people, to help us improve the game even further and to test possible improvements made to the game itself.

We’ll reveal more details about the test sessions in the future and also keep you updated, as soon as we’ll send out invites to our first test in March 2011.

We have a lot to do and we’ll need your help to ensure the best possible experience for TERA in Europe. The waiting time is now almost over and we are eagerly awaiting your feedback and impressions for the upcoming tests of TERA.

Some additional information about the test session:

* We'll run a couple of test sessions, before we enter a "real" closed beta in Europe

* For the first test we will invite active forum members (meaining people who participated in a positive way in discussions, helped other members, dropped constructive feedback, ideas, etc.)

* We'll also invite staff from fansites, guilds, contest winners and a couple of others

* If you participated in a NA FGT, you'll be invited to the next test session from EME again

* Due to the data protection policy we can't freely exchange personal data between companies

* We'll reveal more information about the upcoming test in the future

* We'll maybe have special beta forums for our testers, this will help us to gather feedback on special topics

Have you played? It's ridiculous that people say this, alot of people say Aion is a grind fest but you can hit 55 in 2months, kids just want everything handed to them on a plate.

Can you imagine if these people played Soma or Mir back in the days? lols.

I did play both mir & soma, "back in the day" actually. Mir I played from early 1.4 & by the time I quit I had the second highest DC on D Server. Soma I multi'd stevo32, first character hit to hit apus iirc.

And to answer your question - No, I haven't played it and I don't plan on playing it either. The new action system is gimmicky bullshit that will eventually get boring + annoying, and people will fall back to the likes of WoW/Rift etc.

Also, the actual speed of leveling is not the only factor that determines whether a game is feels grindy. Aion feels very grindy due to how you actually go about leveling.. slowly killing 1 mob at a time, compared to the likes of mir in which you are clearing 100's of mobs a minute. Aion flopped, you tell me why?

I have a 4GB RAM and GeForce GTX 580, I know the game uses the Unreal 3 Engine and says:

• Intel Core Duo 2 Processor (or equivalent) or better
• 2 GB of RAM or greater
• NVidia GeForce 7600 / ATI Radeon X1800 GTO (or equivalent) or better


I very much doubt it, the minimum requirements agaisnt the graphics with them stats you would still get fps lag with mass AoE and Players onscreen.

I agree with what you say about Aion and taking 1 mob at a time but Tera you can see from videos that quite alot of the classes take on about 3-5 mobs each time using aoe skills so i can't see that being a problem.

I think the action (Combat) system is great, it's about time we had something new and different, it will sure test your skills out on pvp, none of this auto locking crap, now that you have to actually aim your hits/skills.

I dont think you've even seen a vid of this game. Most of the time you're attacking 10's of creatures.

If you don't think mirs a grind then you seriously need to look up the meaning of the word.

Read my post again and tell me where I said mir is not grindy? I thought what I said was pretty clear. I said mir does not FEEL grindy in comparison to the likes of Aion in which you slowly kill a single mob at a time. In aion you are constantly looking at your exp bar after every mob.. its the same as watching the clock in work, it drags.

Actually reading what people say before replying to them tends to help avoid confusion.

Nah its out of beta all together.. its live, release date was the 24th.

Also, I wasnt debating whether or not they make good games, I just said they are notorious for making grindy games.. which isn't untrue.

Anyway, I guess tera isn't that grindy then after reading that.. when I heard people comparing it to Aion I instantly thought badly of it. Aion is a good game, don't get me wrong, I played IA for quite awhile but its just so boring to level on.
