The current state of AceM2 and the speed cheaters that are destroying it.

I'm not here to point fingers and name names. But i know the team is currently looking into the speed cheats floating around the server which are mostly due to CheatEngine and SpeederXP as far as im aware.

What bothers me more is the fact these people are being allowed to continue playing using these cheats even though your trying to find a way to automatically trace them its destroying the PVP element of the server completely.

How is any ranged class supposed to deal with a warrior that can walk faster than you can run, almost tempted to boot up SpeederXP myself and start tinkering, because if you can't beat them.. Join them? Surely.

Lol, I have SpeederXP but not for mir, Its not the full version either its just a trial version. Gms are more than welcome to check my entire log history to see if i ever have used it on mir, because i havent.

Earlier this evening my self and my guild were fighting this guy and several people who were with him. JustinBiebers speed was beyond ridiculous, and was clear as day with respect to it not being natural.

Not only does this child have a mouth that I wouldn't scrub my toilet with, the fact that him and anybody else like him still feels the need to use these programs 14 years in to this game is simply sad.

Theres a fair few speeding now, only noticed it last 3/4 days. im pretty quick my self but these people every 2/3 steps will skip a frame.

They always seem to have huge mouths too lol like they think they something special because they cheat :S shame

Should just code the spead-amplifier into the game itself, and allow everyone to use it up to 1.1x speed. Frankly this is the only way I'll ever see the "cheats" problem fixed with Mir.

Simply trying to code in anti-cheats etc just encourages people to break it, and it never truly works in the end.

They'll still try to cheat even if you let every1 use a "speed amplifier" its just the way some people are, they always need to have an advantage, only real way is good gm support and perm bans for cheats.

Ive found that xp (tweaked) seems slower with this client, win7 seems to be faster. A few others have said this too. Ofc this is just personal experience, i could be wrong but it rly seems laggy on xp

Used Win7, WinXP and Win8 with these files now, XP seems the slowest. ACPI Tweak wont work with these files as its DirectX Based.

i've worked on quite a few changes regarding cheats and similar systems on these files and other files).
i even knew certain ppl where speeding from the first day we opened server.
problem is: so far any attempt at making the server tell us exactly who's doing it and who's not has resulted in ALOT of
completely random players getting reported/kicked.
to the point of everyone complaining on forum about not being able to play due to all the constant kicks .

there are ALOT of minor/major fixes i need to do to these files, and i'm going through them.
even tho catching and preventing cheats is something high up on my list, if i have to chose between fixing 50 other bugs 'this weekend' or spend the next 2/3 weeks working on cheat prevention systems, i'd rather have those 50 things fixed first.

agreed its better to put your time into doing all the other bugs, what ever preventative mesures you do within a week or 2 cheats will find away around it anyway, its been tried on every server but there is always a way around it. The good thing about this is gms are pretty active, they can watch the suspects and ban them accordingly.

But if you know people are speed hacking and there blatantly doing it in plain view without any fear of getting caught why is nothing being done?

Not being funny i dropped quite a valuable item today to these idiots, **** the item i just want them gone.

You must be getting 30-40 reports a day about certain individuals. Can you guys please at least figure out if they are or not and just ban them at least?
