To people who have made 1.9 o 2.3 servers before

also lif the file called "Run the server from here, after you have read the readme file" all the shortcuts say missing short cuts can you help with that plz

the latest march files ? put that folder on your desktop

for faster loading thats were i had it on the host pc

if the shortcuts are all missing it means the directory that they are pointiong to in the properties is wrong, all you need to do is open each folder and make a new shortcut and then put it into the start server from here folder, or even check the properties of each shortcut and put in the right information

Back on topic, If u were going to Change the files from 1.9 to 2.3, The main thing need to edit is the SQL data base i wud think, since it has all teleports,maps, etc, i think the DB list will have to be added manually (1 row at a time) in the SQL data base in the 2.3 files, also some other changes will need to be made,

Any1 know any easyer way to add a DB to SQL Sheet?

I would be glad to change Starlite 1.9 to 2.3, may take some time if no1 knows to do that DB to SQL transfer.

I am thinking of investing some time in a sever, I know a lot off ppl that play private servers but are not getting the gm support they require.

I own a company in Manchester and have a spare server which i would like to use. However here lies the problem i have the equipment but not the know how. Can anyone help me?

Where to start lol... Grab ya self the best/latest files (being DM2(check that section)) then you should find a guide or two on how to set it up. After that, all i did to get to know how to do all things like NPCs, Mobs, Items and so on is just to play around for a week or so.

We are usually willing to answer all ya questions so fire away when the time comes.

ok i have down loaded the server files, now how do i actually open yhem to have a play around???

Alll i have done so far is downloaded the 1.9 server files from this site. then unzipped them into a file so basically i have a server file on my desk top with lots of files in there called db server, game gate etc etc.

So from there anyone tell me how to actually open mir up?

i know you dont need to use delphi to run the files on a basic setup, if you plan on adding mobs to the game which iam sure you would want to, to expand your server you need to be able to code, client side and server side, new spells and other bits need to all be coded, i cant even get the fox mobs working on mine so ive sacked it tbh.

you know very little about delphi, i know bugger all about it, and tbh i wouldnt want to ask for assistance as it would get met with a post like urs with no help in it what so ever, sorry if this offends you its not directed at you , just a generalisation

I can see where your coming from and no offence taken.

Adding mobs more mon files is very simple. Ive added mon files up to mon35 on my HellzLoose files. There is a great guide on how to do it.
You wont be able to get fox mobs magic attacks working because they havent been coded yet lol.

I think most people have gave up on the SVN files now and people have gone there own ways and has been like that for months now.
