Trolls and deliberately trying to ruin server

OK bit conspiratorial but for quite a while i have been wondering if a lot of the cry threads and general complaints about the game, negative comments etc. directed at Sam, have been from people with other servers who are just trying to stop people playing/moving to this server.

I really enjoy this server and am really happy that an individual (I know there is a team but Sam is the motivator) spends so much time on it and doesn't charge everyone to play. (yes you can buy GG but that is voluntary)

I am also glad that he has the foresight to see that most people in game are happy to just play, otherwise he may have just taken the attitude, " ah well, I'm obviously wasting my time no-ones happy ill give up!" Thank you for not doing this Sam.

So really, peeps, just play the damn game, if you don't like it, DON'T PLAY IT!! :@@

and if i am right and the negatives come from other servers, what a compliment to you Sam, they are running scared!

anyway, end of rant, back in-game I go, collected carrots and crafting. nice to do something different for a change.

However, most of the threads I am concerning myself with are: Destructive Criticis, Negative Criticism, Speculative Criticism and last but not least Foolish Criticism,

Maybe the "haters" need clarification:

In this case, making the criticism is not necessarily deemed wrong, and its purpose is respected; rather, it is claimed that the same goal could be better achieved via a different route. I don't like it, therefore I do not play it. There are plenty that do enjoy it though, one being yourself! It's only the user count that can be mesmerizing and pull you in. But then again that seems to be slowly dropping.

And as for servers running scared, I am enjoying the one I am on even though it is in closed beta so not many people want to put time in testing it(more testers means sooner its live). I honestly feel the server I am playing can at least bring some competition to the mir scene when it's ready.

I dont see your point? Should we all just run around brown nosing like yourself? .. Sam lied to us about certain things, when you lie to people you lose their respect! Clearly everyone sees the potential in this server, but unfortunately he listenes to a select minority who want the server ran there way, to suit themselves.

Name calling... i was up for a healthy debate but you have ruined it before it started. I am sorry you do not see the point. i have tried to give you a basic understanding of Constructive Criticism, your failure to reach that understanding is regrettable but not entirely surprising.

I do not think the moaners are people from other servers trying to dislodge usercount with negitive threads.
There are just far to many people who have difficulty expressing themselves in clear, constructive and mature way.

If you can pick the actual issue being "reported" from a threads of hate, crying, moaning, trolling etc etc most of the time there is reason to the threads.
If you look at the patch fixes over the course of the server and match them to the moaning threads.. You soon see that the moaners either had a point or put enough presure on sam to buckle. I dont see sam as a person to buckle to presure therefor the threads must have some logic although posted in poor formats.

I think the server is great, and that the silent majority will always remain. However I presume Sam is now making money off this through GameGold so he needs to change tact a bit. Previously I would say 'Sam can do whatever the **** he wants' but its a little bit different now that real life $$ is involved. People have a right to say these things to him and give him **** if he's providing a service they don't like (Btw if I'm wrong about the making $$ thing then ignore me). On a side note server isn't for me, too slow too boring but I am sure it will go far regardless of any posts on this forum.

There are those who want the server to continue, hence the critical posts, the people who post 'bad' press on the server are doing it why? Is it to stop people playing? Is it to make them play a different server? No to both, people are compelled to post because they actually really enjoy the server, and want to see it continue, hence why they post 'moaning' threads.. The amount of 'moan' threads is completely in line with actually how much people CARE about this server.. Sam would be wise to realise this.

Tbqh i dont thinking you haven't had almost any involvement with the forums in the past time if I'd look at your account where's I'd even count the post archivation in 2007 . Either way for me constructive feedback has always been.
1: There is an issue which bothers you and others.
2: Why is this an issue and is this reasonable?
3: How to get around this issue with a new idea which would benefit most

i get sick at it all, people go
on as if they deserve this server and it should be tailored to their needs, unfortunately only like 10% of the server use this forum and that's usually the opinionated knobs, thankfully sam must understand majority of people ingame are happy and appreciate his work

I agree if the amount he's making is simply covering costs from his own pocket like hosting for the server/website etc then fair play, he can still say & do what he wants.

How does this server want to be seen? The way it is portrayed & advertised could be seen as almost an official server...Game Gold, terms of use etc, it give the impression of an extremely professionally run game. Which is a credit to Sam, but there is real $$ involved now. Far, I actually think its disturbing that someone should put forward their server in such a manner, receive actual currency and then continue to treat the provision of this server as a favour to the community that they should just accept. That's pretty ****ed up.

Tbh I think Sam IS considering all the posts, negative or positive, and it will just take time for him to implement changes. But to the rest of you like the OP, DK & Far, telling people not to complain or voice their opinions (no matter how they are put forward), I genuinly disagree. To me that is highly disturbing. People are paying monthly!!

I agree, people should put forward their comments about improving this server. But lets be honest, most of the threads and post made here aren't constructive and the people who make them have no intention on providing useful feedback - yet are insistent on trolling and stirring ****, which then other people with low IQs decide to follow and take it as their own thoughts.

You kind of contradicting yourself, so your saying if he is making money then he should listen to you? If he doesn't make anything then he shouldn't bother?
