True server count?

So I was curious to the true population of this server. At first i was impressed by the average 300 server count when i first logged in, so have spent some time running around omacave, enthusiastic to get involved.

Although as i've played I've realised there's not actually that many players online/around the map, so im guessing the user-count mainly refers to the offline shops?

Is BW the main town for players? Or is everyone hiding somewhere else?

MW I'd say is the main town, but people are scattered all over

There's about 270 people 'online' and i just counted 230 stalls (as i was print screening couldn't get them all) i would say there's more like 250 stalls as i'm sure i missed some, so at night when there's 320ish online take 250 of that for stalls that leaves 70 people, and i have no doubt many of them will be miners.. so pretty terrible, all in all.

Oma caves? Why would you run round oma caves expecting to see anyone?
Most players are over 40. They do not go oma caves much.

That said, the number of people that still want to play mir after all these years isnt huge and they are spread out(sadly) over a few different servers.
be nice if all these teams could get together and co operate and run one server or maybe two but it will never happen. Many servers with low user counts is the way it will be.
Also GTA 5 just came out.

GTA5 is out, FIFA out soon, PS4/Xbone out soon.

A lot of people taking a break too, some have "quit" ect. There was easily 120+ active players not that long ago.

Very disappointing to say around 4/6 weeks ago there was always around 150+ players on at each time.. MW is constantly dead though it was always packed, there are hardly any fights any more.. Especially none in mw got rather silly how rapid the user count has dropped, as for all those stalls there is absolutely no need for 250 stalls that right there is the height of stupidity

ive played since it started and in the past month or so have never seen more than 3-4 people in towns.


The server is dead, just looks lively because of stores.

Lowrates always die though.

the problem is between lvl 40-50 there isnt alot of content as compared to 30-40.

most people are hitting 40-45 and are basically bored , there are no challenges left in the game.

there needs to be more content between 40-50 as it takes so much longer to do than 30-40.

the same can be said for kit between these levels too, needs more variety for 40-50.

agree it gets too repetitive past 40, not much of a challenge either as all the bosses are easy apart from orc. Tho its gta that's keeping me away from mir atm

K soz misunderstood. Were more players couple weeks ago but lot now back at uni etc They may return once settled in new homes. And as said there's a few console games just out.
The comment about content is relevant. I often wonder why servers come out without planned new content. Its a pattern that keeps being repeated, server after server. People geek it til they too high for the content then moan they are bored and leave the server. Last one was Reunited. No one seems to take into account how fast everyone can level even on low rate and how soon they get fed up of same old.

Very much doubt that, he must either have stuff going on irl or has lost interest the same as every other developer that started as a big team. Take a look at his forum profile, he ain't been seen on the forums since the 13th and hasn't made a post since the 11th sorry to burst everyone's bubble that posts stuff expecting him to see haha.

It's a shame with this server, you check out other servers that are around and it hits home how good this particular one is, and what a shame it would be (is) to watch it die.

I don't think the forums gives a particularly accurate perspective on how many are playing. There is an active population both day and night. New players are leveling up.

I went by counting the stalls and deducting them from the current 'people are online'. Forums in no way can accurately show how many are playing.

So if the stalls are the same as this morning ,there's 230ish stalls and 310 online, = 80 players, although i suspect a lot of these are miners.

None the less i am myself still online XD

Couldn't sleep this morning, and i was talking to Nemo about how many people were online, so print screene,stuck it in paint and marked each stall lol, missed some though i think. Yes i was rather bored, but i said 'i reckon there's about 150 stalls' so thought i'd have a look XD
