Turn PVP on and Off possible?

Earlier someone made a suggestion and i thought it was pretty good and would like to test it if its possible. Basicly when you log in a message comes up and says do you want PVP on or Off ( Sorta like WOW ) and if you turn it off you cannot pk or be pked.

I think this idea is quite crap,Why ? Ruins PVP and if you kill a boss for example some1 jumps on your item he has pvp off then he gets away with the item..lol
im 50% sure u cant do this

lol :P yeah it does ruin the idear of PVP but my mate wants to know how to do it and i asking for him as i also intrested if it can be done.

The only way I know of is by having duplicate worlds.. (Xtreme have done it this way) one that is PVP enabled, the other is "SAFE".
