Thats what the lords are EW2.
I agree a smaller more transparent version would be good though.
Not for turtles though. For the 45-50 incoming content.

Oks is random off OK kills not on a set targeted kills like the lords as far as I'm aware.
But yes more things like oks but at a harder level and more challenging to make spawn, but a visible challenge. The kill group of any relevant boss could get a pop up 12/14 killed. Then when the boss spawns a global shout.
Having the counter for the kill group would allow them to plan for the spawn/send people ahead for an upper hand on the ones not killing the relevant mobs.

OKS is so low in variation its not all that random. We originally was going to set OKS to spawn 1/1 from omaking kill but at the time we wanted to let the players work out what variables was needed to make OKS spawn (and where) as it added to the excitement of discovering something new.
Seeing as most if not all? players are familiar with this now, i see no reason why this couldn't be changed to a 1/1.

I agree the island idea sounds cool, but i do think the global shout everytime a new boss is spawned to alert players is getting a rather old and overused mechanic, i think a boss with an actual in game countdown timer would be cool (either globally or perhaps only displayed when on the map in question) this would attract a lot more players and inevitably PvP to a boss than a global shout, as people would be able to wait / prepare for the timer and are less likely to miss it.

but as Sam has already said, he see's turtles as a lower level zone, and will be adding more higher lvl zones in the future.

If people are going to know in advance when a boss will spawn it will lead to door blocking and walling not fighting. The OKS shout was supposed to encourage fights.
You put a random into boss spawns to discourage camping. Even so some of them proved to be campable/farmable like foxes, like yims.
If your are going to implement this then make it on a map without door blocking sites in a space designed for a good fight.
