[2.3] Up to date guide/files?

hey guys ive been trying for the past 3-4 days to create my own server to play around on etc, but ive never acutally set up a personal server before, ive tried numberous guides in the stickys including using ferny's guide on his website too (which seems to be outdated and broken files) the guide in the top stickys seems to be missing half the infomation since megaupload went down, i tried using the guide and substituting the missing files with TD's server files i found in another thread but ive had little luck, is there an up to date guide with files and a straight forward approach to setting up for people who have little knowledge on setting up for the first time?

any help would be greatly appreciated

i suggest using ruby's guide for setting up and using mssql, as for server files look up kaori's website i am pretty sure they are hosted there. If not i can always upload a plain set of files to my website for you.

thanks! this is working really well so far, it seems ive hit a snag now though, im currently on step 3.6 in rubys guide where im configuring OBDC connections when i went to put my name a password in for the client config i get an error saying

any ideas on how to get around this? im currently still working on it atm to try and get past it but any help would be great

why not just use hereos or ruby? i really dont get why ppl are still using 2.3.

i am using ruby im following the ruby guide but ended up with the error i posted previously and couldnt work past it.
