Upgraded comp but even laggier than b4.

Recently my comp was upgraded from a 256 to 512. Not much I know but it was a big improvement for me.

When I loaded up my own local server with 256 and my old graphics card the lag was constant but was only small in comparison with the lag im gettin with a 512 and a new graphics card. Sometimes I'll be fine for 20 seconds then I'll lag for a further 20 seconds. I've checked everything and it seems to be fine.

Anyone got any ideas as this is really bugging me. Btw the server itself loads up smoothly with no lag its jsut when im ingame that it laggs super bad.

could be your CPU? erm, try rebooting your pc aswell

also get your hands on a RAM optimizer

Aye, tis the server that is lagging.

I have downloaded RAMBooster and gonna try it with that. I also downloaded alot of secuirty stuff etc from Windows site so im hoping that'll help.

Also rebooted comp and shut it down and restarted it etc.

EDIT : The lag is still there wherever I go. Also I haven't turned the mongendummy into mongen yet so there are no mobs what so ever ingame. =/

Still its talking about pc's

Try lowering the amount of mobs spawned.
