Performance apps such as gamebooster (and others) are likely to show up on our cheat radar... Some performance apps such as the Razor addition of gamebooster or premium gamemaster contain potential speed increasing elements which will be reported as speed hackings.

The anti cheat system is still in its early stages of development and mistakes can and have been made, so we suggest that you avoid using all game enhancing applications or at a minimal allow us to test them first.

can you report back as soon as you say its good to use razer gamebooster (i thought only razer did this anyway).

my razer gamebooster didnt get me banned when i was using it. although my iobit smartram kept getting me DC'd.

isnt the fact of a speed boosting program being needed a sign of cheating? regardless of their pc / laptop either not being good enough or to good to the point certen componants cause lag issues be irrelevent. unless said part is unaware that they have a program like this installed due to it being a 3rd part program downloaded by another game wich allow's them?

i use to know a little about computers but due to vodka / a tiny bit of weed and many years of being out of the loop, i my self can claim to be one of these who are not sure whats on their pc / laptop. (edit) [ by many years i mean 7 or 8 years of only using my xbox and basic use of a pc / laptop allowing for massive loss of knollage due to being dyslexic ]

Blatent loop hole's like this is a good part of why cheaters are still so rampent in the mir comunity in my eyes.

thats my 2 pence worth, please deleate this post of mine if you dont find it constructive and i appolagise to thoes affected. programs like them should not be used at any point as i said regardless of pc issues.

Just thought id slip a bit of information in.

A certain version of Gamebooster actually tampers with application speed very much like how cheat engine does. Therefore it's classes as cheating as it manipulates the game application and not your actually PC processes. My opinion is keep your anti-cheat blocking Gamebooster.

Also there should be no reason really to use any 3rd party applications even if the excuse is "My laptop is too slow blah blah." Unless your playing Mir on a calculator i am pretty sure it should run fine on your system. Just look at the minimum system requirements.

As much as I agree with you violent, there are no system requirements for private custom servers. This server is probably 5-10 times more demanding than official euro.

Gamebooster only closes processes that you do not need to run. Nothing to do with cheating in anyway if that's how you use it.
A more computer literate person could do exactly what gamebooster does manually without the simple interface a program of game boosters type offer.

As for the system requirements I am aware that these are private files but it still won't use that much resources. It doesn't even render 3D and surely nobody uses single core processors anymore? In fact I bet I could run it on my phone.

Just becuase the game runs fine for you does not mean it does for everyone else....

Im on a standard Acer Aspire 5535 laptop running Vista. Ive not even a clue what a single core processor is, but I know this server pap on my laptop where-as on every other server Ive played using the same machine, Im fast.

I never stated that the game runs fine on my PC. I was merely stating that this sort of game should not use that much resources no matter what server it is. Maybe it due to the platform its coded on as Ive run the C# files and its like there's no performance issues at all.

if your having problems running a 10yr+ game you really need to be upgrading you system, even phones have 4-5x better specs than pcs i was using 10yrs ago to run mir.

if you cant run mir smoothly, you have only yourself to blame, not the team, its no reason to cheat.

most people who are using these gameboosters / cheats generally have fine pc's they are just trying to gain an advantage over other players.

Spot on there. There really is not need to use a 3rd party software for Mir.

I agree, if you can't play this server without the use of "boost" programs then don't play, simple.
No one has a gun to your head and is forcing you to play.
Go play the servers where you lot say, "my PC runs fine on other servers"

Absolute morons.... i dont use gamebooster.. but if people need it to play then let them. Theres a difference between closing processes and cheating. And its very blatant too. I do feel for the people who cant play because on other servers i have had to use gamebooster just to stop lag. Its obviously not a matter of having a crap computer because im sure the people having problems will be able to play better games on the same setup. I supoose its just luck of the draw

as ive said before the team need to start a thread for ppl to post dx diag results and how the game runs on there computer then they can spot the pattern and resolve the issue. my old laptop on vista really struggles to play the game however desktop is at 60fps all the time (i believe the game cant go higher than this?)

What i don't understand about this gamebooster is why people can't close down the processors they want manually? Why do they need a program to do it for you? Sounds like it dose much more then that tbh, it's a simple task to stop a process.

the one i have closes pretty much eveything down, when u launch a game thru it and then alt tab out fot he game there is no task bar all u can see is your wallpaper, so they do more than what u can do just thru task manager.

new to fraps so not sure how to get it to record everything happening on computer not just the game if u want me to show you what it dos pm for skype/tv metting and ill show u. (btw i dont use this ingame as this desktop doesnt really struggle with any games just wanted to see what all the fuss was about).

Close explorer.exe from task manager, and you will also not see the taskbar/desktop.

Again, it does nothing you can't do yourself.
