i cant see this being an issue but before i did it i wanted to ask if it would be considered altering the game.

if your not aware, in a nutshell dimmdrive creates a virtual HDD on your ram and allows you to play games via your ram, in terms of file access speeds its faster than raid SSD's

i got this on steam a few days ago and its very impressive

Looks interesting, available to everyone and hardly a cheat in my opinion, just like tweaking to recieve maximum speeds isn't it.

Have you tried it? Does it work with Mir?

Any increase would be very minimal, same for SSDs.

Once an image is loaded once it gets cached anyway.

You could give it a go, but I'd not expect anything dramatic.

My 16g gaming pc hasn't got enough memory for all the wils of meh mir :p

chrons is 17ish gigs. using dimmdrive i have 24gig of ram and it sets a side 18gigs for games, i have tested it on chrons and it runs just the same as if it was from my HDD so there is no speed increase in a sense of moving/tweaking, but it handles that snow a lot better at the moment

if like me you have an older computer but excess ram its a handy little program.

EDIT: im glad there is no drastic improvement for this because the server seems very good, i dont fancy being stopped from playing it before i gave it a go

This ram drive thing would be good for games that don't require information from places not In Your control ie. Online games. Because think about it it can only is use ram for files on your computer. It would be awesome for offline games. Almost zero load times etc.
