That is not Vista problem.

I had the same error the other night, I don't have Vista, I forgot to download the game patch, after that it was working fine......

i have also had it and im on xp so nothing to do with vista although i have heard that mir dont work on vista..

Some versions of Mir can actually work on vista. I can play euro mir 3 perfectly well with vista but not USA mir 3 due to the autopatch being disabled by the USA lot.

Try disabling your automatic account user to make it so that you dont need to keep giving permission to access things. This worked for a friend of mine fine.

Another thing to check is your graphics card. Some friends of mine who have 8800 cant play mir and yet can on 8600 (if you know what im on about good cos i dont lol and those were the bits i managed to pick up on lol.)

Another place to check is the USA forums as theres some threads on there about graphics cards and what not.

what do i need then to sort this prob coz i got 3 patches now an it is still saying somert goes up in smoke and closes the exe when eva i load the laucher
