VRT Servers

Due to the fact that so many of their servers going down, please do not purchase dedicated servers from this company vrtservers.net.

Also I do not want to see your server on this forum if your server is hosted on VRT Servers. No exceptions.

WHy is this? because there cheap so there the LOMCN scammers choice? If its this then thats just copping out because its not like you dont know who makes and brakes the servers each time

Or maybe because there laggy because 90% of the community are in europe whereas they are US based? What if a US p server starts?

You post was very vague what is it that you donty like about them? I went with them and yeah i changed but only because of there server location and bad ping, other then that i had no problems.

I used VRT servers for the first month and as soon as i got a few donations i upgraded RAM and Upload port to 100mbs. The server lagged abit but it wasnt unplayable.

Ive still got the same dedicated server for database backups ect and over the last 3 and a half months ive had no problems and it never crashes.

Never had no probs either while i used but had to switch to UK based 1 for ebtter pings as geordie put

I've had 2 of my dedicated servers re-formatted because of problems at there end but they have given me like 1 week extra on my payment.

My current dedicated server is running fine, never had lag or a technical issue with it and ive had it 1 month, saying that there is still time but im all for vrt servers

They are a very good company and easy to use.

Im not saying there brilliant or anything, when you email them with problems you will only get one reply " would you like us to reboot or reformat?"
But there not managed servers and you dont pay for them to be managed so you cant really expect to much anyways and i heard it is 1 man and his wife running it all, but to publicly ban them from a forums without no reason, thats harsh

there's no need a reason... think around 10 servers on my server list were from VRT and they are all DOWN.

other forum has discussions about how bad it is. search google. I gave you a good reason already. If you like it, use it. You can advertise if you can show me your server is actually up for more than 1 month (some was doing okay).

Well what you have to think is that out of them 10 servers on VRT there were about 12 new servers alltogether lol, people ask each other what is the cheapest server and it goes from person to person, VRT being cheap is still going to pull alot of people in but if they wanted advise im sure they could ask and we would tellt hem the pro's and con's.
Out of them 10 VRT servers that u mention i know at least 4 that are still going now (well over a month) wich is at least 40% and i think that would proberbly be similar to the average age of a mir server atm, i think its total madness to blame this on a server host when everyone knows its 3 or 4 people and we have informed you on this several times, so if you really wanted to do something about these servers you could cut the root so im really confused why youve taken this path its just seems madly unlogical.

its a shame the other 60% were used to scam people form donations. VRT is used bcos it provides a quick and cheap way of putting a short term server up so people are able o pay 1month, get donations n shut down. then repeat the aame next month.

kaoir is usually right about these things so i'd leave it be if i were you.

All im saying is just because there cheaper than the rest why punish them? If VRT wer banned a few motnhs ago the case would be there would be alot less of the good servers running

it sounds like a lot of the Gd servers used VRT to start wid then wen the they could they switched

meaning now ppl have to pay more and r thinking twice about whether to host or not

are you joking? I have 10 VRT servers on my server list and only 2 are active. Elite, WarZone. And they are both from August. If the 8 were good, they wouldn't go down.

Good servers: yes they might be good mir servers but they were on the wrong host. vrt is known to have a very poor customer service.

I cant understand why they would have bad customer service, sure when you get problems you curse them but they are not managed server, every company will do the same thing, all they are needed to do is reboot or reformat if you wanted more you would go with part or full managed servers

they never did anything bad to my server yet but im moving hosts ( when new 1s decide to press the power button the dedi) which are uk based and main reason i did this is the overseas transport lines to usa from uk are crap to say the least.

What about these servers? they are VRT? I know their IPs are not directly from VRT.

Did you search google? I see 100% negative feedback on this one. If you like them, that's fine. oh and good luck.

I know this is an old thread but id like to point out that I ran AlphaOmega Soma server for 13months non stop on VRT servers from 2005 - late 2006

Never had any issues with them at all, they were always pretty swift with their response times and would bend over backwards to help out in any way they could. I honestly cannot see that they would go down hill that fast.

FYI VRT servers come from 2 different locations, this could be the reason behind some servers having different IPs than others.

i have read all and ask me if its really the provider that kill the servers and i dont think so. There was a post from other ppl that ask why all the time new servers come up and close again (and that was the same before kaori make serverstatus) we all have read that much ppl make server get donations and kill the server by there own cause they had what they wanna ...Money..

If 2 Servers run and show that its usable say me that not the provider is the BADMAN its the server owners that close it by self. Another one said cause VRT is so cheap the ppl can start make donations and close. kk maybe its that why but hey there are much ppl out without much money and they dont find it ok to bring ppl in two classes one that can buy all titles and items and one that must work hard cause they cant donate (iam one off those) if i had not a well m8 that are interested in hosting a server self Amenon would not Life! So yes maybe there are ppl saying "cool cheap i can piss off some ppl and earn money" but not all are the same and than its a good question from Geo why the VRT providers are the Offizeil BADMANs?
