Weapon upgrading question please

Hi
as a few of you may be aware ive done a few refines now
i did read somewhere ages ago that there is some sort of limit to how far a wepaon can be buffed or upgraded

what i mean is i know you can only put a maximum of three gems on a weapon

how many refines can you do ? not a clue

how many lucks ? im sure this was +7 ?

basically i have a luck 3 mc 1-11 war mage staff im toying with refining

but i dont want to put it in if it has reached its upgrade "ceiling" (for the want of a better word)

has anyoe got the relevant info on this ?

+10 from refining

then +3 gem on top after but not before.

i now own a
dur+10 (28) luck +3 MC 1-12 (+5) War Mage Staff
