converting mp3s -> anything generally results in quality loss aswell. And if your mp3 player doesn't support wma, ogg etc then you cant convert to anything else, or they wont play.
zen micro plays them all (WAV, WMA, MP3, ADPCM, WMA DRM) but not .ogg
most mp3 players on the market do not play .ogg files shame really
dont see why they dont surport it even my nokia 6600 can play .ogg files
and yes you can get quality loss when converting but if you do it right its very hard to even notice the differance
get a program called powermp3 it can convert to and from MP3 WMA WAV and OGG
