What would be better for hosting gaming server.

I dont know anythin about PCs lol so was just wondering what you think would be better for running mir3.

Core2Duo 2.4
2GB ram
160 GB hard drive

Or
AMD X2 3800+ (1.8Ghz) 1Mb Cache - Dual Core
4GB DDR 400
250GB SATA2 16MB Cache

Nether really, as the emulators used to run the server files are all single core designed.

Only one core would be used, where as the second core would be used just to speed the cache up a bit.

If you really want to go dual then best advice i can give, is try for summat running at 2.22 or higher and avoid AMD they aint as good as they used to be. Though are cheaper than pent for replacing.
