Whats better an amd athlon 3500+ 22ghz equivilant to an pentium 4 like is is better than a 32 pent 4 or a 36 pent 4? ne ideas?

amd 3500+ 2.2ghz equiv
p4 3.2
p4 3.6

because i really didnt understand anything you just said otherwise.

Pentium4 3.6GHz is obviously better than the Pentium4 3.2GHz.

For gaming I'd choose the AMD 3500+ 2.2GHz.
For anything else I'd choose the Pentium4 3.6GHz.

And AMD 3500+ 2.2GHz is about the same as Pentium4 3.2/3.4GHz.

What's your budget and what exactly do you need (mobo,cpu,ram, gfx?, etc)

lol what he is asking is,
how do u rate processors, how do u no which is best.
i always thought a processor is rated by its clockspeed, like 3.2 ghz or 2.2 ect, what i wanna no is,
is say a amd athlon 2.2ghz 3500+ as good as a pentium4 3.2ghz,
urban has already hlped me on msn suggesting the 1.8 and other parts with my budjet i gave him,
the reason why im questioning whats gd n what aint is coz i dnt wanna be buying a 2.2amd athlon when its not rly tht gd ect. if u lot understand lol

3500+ is better than p4 3.2 imo, though its a biast statement. i dont like pentiums much.

That's dual core, which is a totally different area.

Overall, a s939 3500+ is about a 3.4-3.6 competitor.
