Whats the best OS to run a off line Server??

First of all Windows ME was more stable than 98SE for me, so please don't have a go at it. YES, I conceed, it was not as good as it was hyped to be, but without it, I would have turned my back on the PC and gone to Apple Mac's.
Second, UNPnP is not a problem, I have everything running on my System. Even SSDP. I'm Running Windows XP Professional SP2 (Fully Updated).
My only problem is translating the files :S Also finding the program that enables me to edit / re-compile .wil/wix files. I had it before cos I made my own HUM.WIL/WIX files. But I can't remember what the darn thing was called

1.9 i get a blue screen & then get cc iv got the money to keep my server up 4 2years on a 4mb line but i carnt get the files working ><

On the 1.4 files - I had that problem once, but can't remember how I solved it :whathuh:
I know this may sound redundant, but just re-check ALL IP's, I know you more than likely did this loads of time already, but just to make sure. Also make sure the Server name is entered in all the right places and is Case specific. Server is different to server I think.
I'll give it some more thought and see if I can remember anything else.
As for 1.9, Once I was told about RegServer thing, and the 2 login gates I was fine. So I don't know how to help on that I'm afraid.
