I like rpg's because they tell a story and have gripping gameplay that fits into a huge world full of many different things.

But the best rpg I've played is :

Final Fantasy 7
Reason: Graphivs don't bother me in the slightest and although the graphics suck when compared to other games it was a great game with a fantastic plot. I remember sitting up in the middle of the night striving to kill that boss that pwned me before. It is also very emotion - the time Aeries died I found heart breaking - it actually became real to me in a sense of i felt like i was inside the game.

A close second : Vagrant Story :)

Let's hear yours :)

i ahvent played many mmorpgs other than mir
the couple i have layed are
conquer online
DarkEden
RYL
and LoM

and tbh out ov those few i prefered mir by far, its alot easier to get into and was myn first ever mmorpg, the layout and interface is easy to understand and control, its just basic, but stilll good and thats why i like it!

Definately FF7

Reason: Well when it first came out i liked the graphics and was stunned by the FMV sequences. This was the first FF i had ever played so i was knew to this kind of RPG (Turn Based). FF7 turned me into a fan of turn based RPG.

I also like all the sidequests the little mini games at the Gold Saucer.

I didnt like Vagrant Story at all

Offline ff7:ff8

I loved the sotry of both of them, 7's was a story of the underdogs coming through saving the world and had excelent bonus stuff, gold saucer etc which if the game got boing you could take a break on.

8 whilst not having as much bonus fun stuff had a very nice story i reckon, i liked how squall was the misfit the quiet child who kept himself to himself but ended up being there greatest leader.

Curse this i have a ff8 urge again, shame ive lent it out. :banghead:

Online: Planetside or mir2.

planetside because it can be breathtaking
mir2 because its simplistic and easy to get into

I know the feeling.

Shining Force series, Breath Of Fire series, FF series, Grandia series, Phantasy Star series, Suikoden 1+2, Legend Of Zelda series...list could go on forever...

But if I had to pick one it'd definately be... Final...Grandia...Of Time...27... ;)

For the uneducated among you, that's Final Fantasy 7, Grandia 2 and Legend Of Zelda: Occarina Of Time. I can't just choose one of those games.

nine was ok its storyline and charecter depth didnt go as deep as eight, you dont want this happy cool guy you want the misfit whos midunderstood and has inner problems, it adds to the story and makes the game feel better.

plus nine was way to cartoony. I liked the sci fi ish theme from 7 and 8

from what i found out it is being relesed in jap in 2005 but the chance of it being relesed in the uk/usa is low from what i found out me my self hope it dose get relesed in the uk/usa as i whould p2p it

Myth Of Soma. Best MMORPG ever, I try to quit, just keep going back for more.

Anyone who plays for more than 10mins will agree, When it comes to addictiveness no other game compares. Leveling system is much more indepth than any other online game as well. More choice of weapons, every character is unique after level 1, there is probably no character ingame with exactly the same stats/items as one another! Most indepth crafting system of any game.

Need I say more?
