When opening GameGate etc

When im opening the gates to open the server, my firewall recieves trojans etc, in which case i allow to have to play the server.

Now im just wondering are they trojans or something?

if you only open ports 7000 7100 and 7200 in your firewall and router if you have one, and block everything else then you shouldnt have any problem.

those are the ports that mir uses, or if you want programs such as front end or server count siggies to work open port 3000.

none of them are risky, its just that port 3000 is optional

if you dont want putting up sigie stats showing your server and player count block port 3000, but to host the server online you will need to have ports 7000 7100 and 7200 otherwise people cant play

6000 needs to be closed as if it id open anyone who knows how its done can acress your DBsrv and make themselfs a GM char

your FW shold not recieve trojans or any virus info it shold just ask you if you wish to let the gate use the port
If it is poping up trojans or any virus do a virus scan as the gates should not be doing this

Well i guess i aint opening port 6k then hehe

Ty for that babyhack, so could i disable all the icons and say just open the ports in firewall, will this then let people play?
