Yeh thats an awesome idea, I've found my self many times without a place to go stuck in my car with a girl.. usually just end up hooking up haha but its made obvious and you could use the "lets watch a video" as a cover up! :D

Dont spend alot on a head unite - really is pointless.

Dont waste money putting DVD's in

Dont waste money with a laptop, or any form of ****.

Spend your money on a sound system.

Amp, Comp's, Sub.

Wire all your comp's up to the amp, aswell as the sub obv, and a decent, but cheapish head unit.

i have the Sony one, but tink it may be the version lower... very good.

My step brother has a kenwood that cost him £350, and my Sony is just as good, if not better.

That ones mine.

Thats my sub.

My amp

Just need to wait for my Shares to come through work, and i will be purchasing some decent Comps.

Id go with the first HU up top, the sony one.

The Sub looks alright, and amp.

Those comps would be pretty crap, you need to spend a little more for the better quality imo.

You would also need another amp yes, as that one is only 1 channel.

Best buying sub & Amp seprate, rather than in package, and only have 1 amp, rather than two.

Dont get 6x9's, there pointless if you have a sub, and especially if you have sub & comps.

For sub & comps a 4 channel would be good, but i believe a 2 channel would work, would just need to bridge some connections.

i got a head unit with an AUX in, then i can jsut connect my ipod to it.

I do however in the future want a car pc, amps/subs are crappy cos you lose the boot space, and you look like a chav driving around with music so loud everyone outside can hear it.

But your quality of sound is 100x better... and music is always better when listening with good quality, and loud ;)

Sub – http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3895.html - £120

Amp – http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/4518.html - £150

Comps – http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/51.html - £30

Or- http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3533.html £100

Wiring – http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/1008.html - £30

Id say the Pheo Gold comps, but the Pioneer if your struggling with budget.

Total with Pioneer – £365

Total with Phoenix Gold - £400

Seems a good setup to me, but im not brilliant with this stuff, just know enough for m yself really!
Maybe ask else where what they think.

But for the sub & amp's, i would advise on Alpine.
