why wasn't AceM2 v1 just patched to v2 in several steps?

As in the title. Only reason I see is because the v1 team fell appart. Or is this AceM2 v2 some completely new source? And if not, why did everything fall appart - from bug testing its obvious its all scrambled, even simple things that worked in just about any mir before are bugged now, I just don't get it.

You might say it needed reseting because it was unbalanced and pple got too high level and were flush with rares but why not reset, why close for half a year and all that? But mainly, why did it all (coding, scripting) fall appart?

And given it happened like it happened, could the AceM2 v1 be released to 'public' now that it won't be used anymore? Who has it anyway.

I think there were just too many changes to how AceM2 worked compared to Chronicles for them to have all been patched.

* The luck7 meaning TU worked nearly 100% of the time lead to some very over leveled people.

* The exp rate being dropped from x8 to x3 ( i think) would mean new players would be massivly disadvantaged.

* Looking at the streams, some maps seem to have changed location.

* Even if the AceM2 server had been working 100% correctly, adding new items/maps/classes could break existing things, even if they seem totally unrelated ( how many times did a new patch break previous bug fixes on official servers)

ace v1 server could have just been reset to make everybody level 1, I know its not popular thing to do but that's what happened in effect anyway, didn't it?

I know that changes can break things but this looks like they started with new code base, from day one, like they started with ace v1

you can patch mir even to the extent of changing map location but never mind

thx for the streams
