Windows 2000 wireless?

A few days ago I bought a wireless router got my first 2 computers connected to it no problem (though they're both near so I just did it wired), now trying to add my other PC upstairs using a very very old wireless network card a friend gave me and i've had lying around for ages. It's an origo/well wll-2300 and I've managed to get the drivers with it so the pc recognises it.

However, my windows 2000 doesn't seem to have any wireless support built in (is it supposed to?), and as the companies that make my card seem to have disapeared i can't find any software to install (it didn't come with any cd's). Anyone have any suggestions where I can get software or somehow make this work? At the moment it simply has an icon in the corner saying "network cable disconnected". Any help would be appreciated.

Thats the only link I found containing drivers for your card, but you have to pay a small charge to download them.

Recommend you instead buy a cheap USB 11g wifi dongle.

yeah actually I think you're right, not worth the hassle, just looked on ebuyer and can get an 11Mbps (same as that old network card) usb dongle including delivery and VAT for £8.68, though the reason i wanted to wait and use that old one rather than getting new atm is that the router is a netgear rangemax and the wireless cards they reccomend to work with it at full speed cost like £50/£60 each, so am waiting a bit before buying them. hmm, maybe i'll persuade my brother to go halves with me lol (i'm only a poor student you see), or do as you said and buy a few of the cheapy ones.

Was hoping someone might say oh i have an old one of those cards have my software.

Just looked on amazon, the same wireless card which is £49.99 on ebuyer (wpn311) is only £30 there, so I'm thinking i'll just buy from there.

update: Just thought I'd let you know that I've got that old card working now anyway, like i said I had the drivers but windows 2000 wouldn't let me set up a wireless network, and had no software with the modem, but found a third party program called Boingo which once installed automatically found my network and set everything up to connect to it, all working fine now (all be it at 11Mbps).
