Not much difference between Pro & Ultimate.

It's all over Usenet (& torrents of course..)

I now run Windows 7 x64 bit with;

AMD Phenom II 940 Processor 3.00 GHZ x4
8.00GB RAM
AMD ATI Radeon 4890 HD

Loving it.

No. Not at all. Check out the comparisons on the Microsoft site and you will laugh at anyone who buys Ultimate.

I am using these features.
backup and restore
remote desktop host

looks like the virtual pc thing is also worth using.

I installed win 7 ultimate yesterday and it's so smooth.
Not much diff between proff an ult or home and proff



Home > proff = home supports les ram and can't do virtual
proff > ult = proff doosent have bitlocker and supports lil less ram

you can get the new Manufacturer's release on the main website that runs out in june but theres a program from a friend of mine (orian) to remove the timer

Just got and installed Ultimate, Seems pretty good so far apart from the screen flickering abit when i was doing a multi install :S

Also anyone noticed how much CPU it uses lol mines always above 50% running not alot!

idle about 5% if that for me

Only on a laptop dual core 1.66ghz lol but still vista ultimate only used to run about 30%

mine is never more thqan 5% idle and no more than 30% when programs running

4% with Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, Windows Live Messenger & Alt.Binz running.

Cba trying idle yet.

EDIT - 1% while idle.
