for a start msmsgs.exe isnt even on my computer no more, in the program files as i can see, has no .exe in there.

secondly iv unistalled it from components

thridly i did the thing hazuki said to do when it was installed and yet it still ran

koari, iv scaned with, Windows Onecare, Nortan, Microsoft Antispyware and all 3 found none, dunno if theres any others you want me to try, but i really cant stop msmsgs.exe from running in task manager >.<

u sure its not a virus or spyware just saying its msn?

btw even on mir 1.9 and 1.4 its a low resource user (100-300 minimum), so is msn (5-10 meg ram minimum)

1. Check in ur WINDOWS32 System folder for the msgmsgs.exe
2. Get the path to the exe
3. Use Command Prompt and permanetly wipe it from the system

Make sure u wipe the right thing, cause it's risky, once u wipe something with the DOS program u can't get it back lol.

Btw it might not be in the WINDOWS32 folder, so just go to where ur System files r kept lol, can't tell u exactly where since im not at home atm

just did a scan and it didnt find any .exe's at all just found a few things but i know none of them are really related.

and the 3 anti viruses dont lag me, as my computers fine with all 3 running at the same time, its just when msmsgs.exe starts up i slow down for some reason.

well seeing as microsoft anti spyware is generaly recomended by alot on this forum im going to keep that, Windows OneCare is quite newish and i dunno if its all up and running perfectly yet, and nortan im keeping for backup if i come across a error in OneCare while its still in beta.

so i think ill keep all 3 atm, and seeing as they dont lag me one bit their fine :)

i wouldn't recommend using BETA Anti virus, they never work lol, and Norton is just pants.

So get McAfee or AVG

kaori msmsgs in msconfig is unticked.

and anti viruses in beta?

well alot of people recomend microsoft antispyware beta by alot of people no this forum, including some of the people who are really good with computers and know their stuff.

and Windows OneCare is fine, works great. McAffee is decent but i cba just buying Nortan and OneCare will do for now.
