Windows Xp Home SP2 / 3

After my recent reboot, i have had many problems (again) such as programs not working properly. A few programs iv contacted have been like msn yahoo etc etc because they wont work properly, both have said its because of the Version of XP or because its been Modified.

What im after is, could you supply me with a link to a wroking Xp Home SP2/3 (not fussed which one) that they have used and have had no problems with at all please.

is this the full version of exp and can I use it to overwrite vista and more importantly would it be a good idea?

of course its full, its an MSDN release, ide advise you to format, so if you want to make a partition then store backups on that and just format and overwrite the vista partition.

lmao. Errm would it work If i got an external HDD then made a backup of vista on that, then overwrote it with exp on main hard drive?

just copy the files you want to keep onto the external and wipe the main and install.

If you're wiping anyway, get Windows 7, it is fugging awesome - Also means you can wave goodbye to all driver related annoyances, as I've yet to hear of anyone unable to get the driver's installed either automatically or updated via the Windows website without having to fart around.

It's one of those things you want on your parent's computer (more so if you're like me and only visit now and then, thus instantly get 20 different computer question upon hitting the doorstep -_-), because it does everything for you. :P
