Windows XP users: do NOT install Automatic Updates until you have backed up your whole C:
Microsoft is distributing the "SP2" upgrade to Windows XP users beginning Monday August 16th. Some SP2 testers have reported significant problems after installing it. As we are unsure how it will react with other software and systems used in your computer. it is imperative that you NOT install this upgrade on any Windows XP PC before backing up your drive(s).
To see if your PC runs Windows XP press the "Start" button and look on the left side of the panel. If that doesn't show you the version name, then right-click on the "My Computer" icon and choose "Properties".
If you are NOT running XP disregard this warning.
If you are running XP then press Start > Settings > Control Panel > Systems > Automatic Updates tab, and under the "Settings" section choose the option "Notify me before downloading any updates", then click OK.
