its a Phantom spell stacking phantom would make it last longer, no spells in phantom tab does damage, no wiz in there right mind would stack it,

It still increases by MC. Used in SZ or out of SZ, with/without renounce, with/without elixir all different durations.

So lets say it lasts 2 minutes then

Can you recast while its active?
When it "pops" do you get a debuff to prevent you shielding up again?

no you cant recast while its up you just cant recast, until timer is completely gone.

And as soon as it drops you can cast again correct?

So in essence because damage has such a small reduction on the effectiveness of shield you are always protected by it as you can exit combat before it falls to recast?

90% of the time you never get time to 'exit combat' because most floors you get punishment for geo or tele away unable to pot for +1 minute in some caves.

it works just like defiance but we cant recast while its already up.

But you know roughly with a good degree of accuracy as to when that shields going to drop. There's no way to break through it without landing 120 hits.

Not saying its right or wrong to work like this, just trying to better my understanding as to how it works on this server. I'm use to it working where if you do enough damage it pops.


IMO it should absorb 100% of incoming damage = max mana x % based on spell level with a no cast debuff when it pops. But that's just me.

the way it used to work and probably should on here

magic shield was under the Wind skill tree not phantom. stacking MC would give you a longer duration on shield, however stacking wind element used to give a stronger shield. Have no idea if it works the same on here where phantom would increase shield strength, if i was a wizz like i used to be many years ago it would be something i would have enjoyed testing in alpha as im a big tester of unconventional builds and stats, such as my SP sin refine tests on alpha

however shield duration use to be effected by the strength of the damage that was taken aswell. taking a big hit with shield up used to DRASTICALLY lower the time that shield would stay up. not just -1 second for whatever the damage was. taking a bit hit used to mean your shield would be close to dropping. as far as i can tell here its just -1second to shield duration regardless of the damage received?

MC always made shield last longer and im sure as some people have confirmed it works that way here too. any testers who enjoy these things who would like to test out phantom effects (if any) let me know your results

Sure but.. we could recast it before it expires right? And now we can't.

played warrior for 1 week , killed giantpenis pokerface chinano1 ......died to none of them ...whats the problem here ( lvl 63 war)
