looking at returning to mir, just trying to get a scope of this server - any help for new starts, is it worth starting or is it on its death spiral? i'm completely out of the loop.

Cheers

Definitely worth starting, you can catch-up to the high levels pretty quickly with all the buffs and what not. You just missed the Easter event though, it was a great one for starters :P Will take a little work or you could skip the work and try to leech your way into the level 50-60's from joining banyo groups like most are doing these days.

Exactly as mentioned, plenty of things for you to catch up on but shouldn't be all that difficult. The zircon discord community is pretty helpful if you have any questions, feel free to join it. The link for it is in one of the stickied threads.

yeah is not a spiral of death, you can start, just join starter guild and look for someone to boost you a bit, when u get huntgold u can buy rest of buffs so u can be upto 150% buff on exp, drops, and all that stuff, good luck, if you need help just look ingame /CraZyEriK

Many low level areas and subs (OMA hero etc) drop items and parts which go for a nice amount. You will not struggle to make a kit. Especially with item refine.

The town subs
OMA hero are found in banya village. Bichon town.

Numa village holds spiked beetle.

These drop well and many high levels require bene or the war god oils.

I started a couple of days ago having never played mir3 and i'm enjoying it! The lvling at the start is hard and it's taking me a while to collect gold, but it gets a bit easier each level

It won't take long to catch up, you should definitely play, zircon has a decent usercount and the best files around

Still going strong, updates still happening (with more user input)

If you hop ingame the noobie guild will help you to begin with and hopefully you can make some friends along the way.

Wiz - fastest leveling as soon as you hit snow and get advanced renounce you will fly up.
Tao - reworked compared to other versions, will level fast once you get 52+ and your demon pet.
Warrior - fun to play but repetitive as a lot of warrior leveling revolves around being un-hittable in places, although there is a nice progression level to it and plenty of options of where to level.
Assassin - pretty easy to level and get gear for, although you will be leveling in the same places a fair amount. Quick to level once you get 45+ and can go holy palace.

Balance changes when it comes to pvp so i would level what you enjoy playing all the time. Don't pick a character because it is the flavor of the week. (On the contrary to this, most would agree that warriors are very strong in pvp late game)
